How Much Does a Pizza Truck Cost for a Party?
Pizza truck catering in NYC starts at $1,500. Here's what moves that number — guest count, service length, travel, and the extras that actually matter.
Pizza truck catering with New York Fine Foods starts at $1,500. That covers the truck, the wood-fired oven and its fuel, a professional crew including an on-site pizzaiolo, full setup and cleanup, and fresh hand-stretched dough with premium toppings.
Most parties land above that starting figure, and the honest answer to "what will mine cost" is that it depends on four things. Here they are, in the order they actually move the number.
1. Guest count
This is the biggest lever. We serve from about 25 guests up to 5,000, and the cost scales with how much dough, cheese and topping goes through the oven — plus how many crew we need to keep the line moving.
A backyard birthday for 40 is a different job from a block party for 400. Both work; they price differently.
2. How long you want service
The oven fires continuously for as long as you've booked. A one-hour late-night service at a wedding costs less than four hours of continuous service at an afternoon graduation party.
This is where people most often over-buy. If your party runs six hours but everyone eats in the first two, you don't need six hours of pizza. Tell us the shape of the day and we'll tell you what you actually need.
3. Where you are
We serve all five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. Travel beyond the city may include a small fee depending on distance.
That fee goes in the quote upfront. It should never appear for the first time on an invoice, from us or from anyone else.
4. Menu and dietary requirements
Our standard Neapolitan menu includes several vegetarian pies — Margherita, Marinara, Bianca, Mushroom Truffle and Burrata. Those are included, not an upgrade.
Custom requests beyond the standard menu are welcome and may affect cost depending on what's involved. Ask when you book rather than on the day.
What's included at every price
Every booking, at any size, includes:
- The mobile Neapolitan oven, the truck, and its fuel
- Professional service staff and an on-site pizzaiolo
- Full setup, service and cleanup
- Fresh hand-stretched dough and premium toppings
The oven runs at 900°F and cooks a pie in about ninety seconds. It's fully self-contained — it needs no power, gas or water from your house or venue. All we need is a level, accessible spot roughly the size of a parking space.
What a pizza truck does not cost you
Two things worth putting a number against, because they're real costs people forget:
A kitchen. At a venue without one — a barn, a farm, a backyard, a loft — a traditional caterer has to build a temporary kitchen. The truck brings its own. That difference is often larger than the catering line itself.
Your own afternoon. Somebody usually spends a party in the kitchen. With a truck, nobody does, and there's no cleanup afterward because we take it all with us.
How to get an accurate number
Call (516) 205-7629 with three things and we'll quote it properly:
- Your date
- Your address or venue
- Roughly how many guests
That's enough for a real number rather than a range. If the truck can't work at your address — a narrow one-way in Brooklyn, a venue with no legal parking spot — we'll tell you that on the call rather than take the booking and improvise on the day.
